ENG 223 - The Tradition of English Literature I

4 credits (Fall or Spring)
Study of English literature from Old English to the early 17th century; may include such works as Beowulf, Canterbury Tales, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, The Faerie Queene, and Paradise Lost. Prerequisite: ENG 120  or ENG 121  for majors; for non-majors, ENG 120  or ENG 121  or any course in the study of literature in another language department.
