ENG 228 - American Literary Traditions II

4 credits (Fall or Spring)
Study of American literature from 1830 to 1893; may include such authors as Emerson, Melville, Whitman, Dickinson, Twain, James, Chopin, Chesnutt, and Zitkala-Sa. Features works from a variety of genres including fiction, poetry, nonfiction prose, and drama. Prerequisite: ENG 120  or ENG 121  for majors; for non-majors, ENG 120  or ENG 121  or any course in the study of literature in another language department.
