CHI 295-01 - Special Topic: Text and Image: Classical Chinese Painting and Poetry From Early Times to Middle Period4 credits (Fall)
Cross-listed as: EAS 295-01 . Combining some of the greatest works of Chinese poetry with approaches and visual materials from the history of Chinese landscape painting, in this course we will examine the changing use of landscape as a medium to express different philosophical and social meaning by competing social groups across historical periods from early times to the 13th century.
Prerequisite: Second-year standing.
