SPN 295-01 - Special Topic: Reading Post-Conflict Central American Literature4 credits (Fall) This course will study and meditate on representations of social class, gender and national identity in post-conflict Central America. We will be looking at poets and writers writing in and from civil wars and revolutions now faced with post-conflict, globalizing societies. Class texts will include poetry and fiction, in addition to films and readings in the social sciences. Fulfills the upper-division literature prerequisite for literature seminars (SPN 377, 379, 383, 385, 386).
