CSC 395-01 - Advanced Special Topic: Data Visualization

4 credits (Spring)
In this special topics course on data visualization, we will cover the basics of transforming, presenting, and interpreting data graphically. In particular, we will build dynamic and interactive data visualizations with JavaScript and the D3 toolkit, learn techniques for processing large datasets, and examine practices in data visualization. Students will apply these techniques in a final project using a dataset of their own choosing.

Prerequisite: CSC 161 . Prerequisite or co-requisite: CSC 207 .
