AMS 275-01 - Topics in American Culture: American Women’s Autobiography

Using autobiography as a window into the social fabric of U.S cultural formations, which are marked simultaneously by race, gender, sexuality and religion, class and region and excess to privilege, we will read a series of autobiographical texts and supplementary historical and theoretical materials.

Prerequisite: AMS 130 and second-year standing.
