THD 195-01 - Introductory Special Topic: Embodying Translation

This course will explore how dance/movement can translate a text from one language to another, such as Spanish to English, as well as how choreography can generate a new text. Through their own research and personal interpretations, the students will generate translations and individual phrases of movement, based on their translation of a text. The students will then develop a collective choreography, and one compiled English translation of the Spanish text.

Note: Dates: March 3 to April 24. Half-semester deadlines apply. S/D/F only.
