PCS 101 - Introduction to Peace and Conflict Studies4 credits (Fall or Spring) This course will introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of Peace and Conflict studies. We will take multiple disciplinary perspectives to understand the factors that lead to conflict or aggression, from the individual to a group and to a societal level. We will explore how identities, ideologies, and values, as well as political, social, economic or environmental structures and conditions foster conflict or peace and the mechanisms through which they are sustained.
