FRN 313 - Introduction to French Literature of the 19th and 20th Centuries: Literary Revolutions4 credits (Fall) Conducted in French. Readings in poetry, theatre, and prose. Examines literary movements such as Romanticism, Realism, the Theatre of the Absurd, Surrealism, and the Nouveau Roman. Presents the critical terminology and analytical techniques necessary for in-depth study of the respective genres.
