CHM 340 - Aquatic Geochemistry4 credits (Spring) Thermodynamics and kinetics of chemical processes controlling the biogeochemical cycling of major and trace elements in freshwater and marine systems. Special emphasis on quantitative modeling of processes occurring at the mineral-water interface (precipitation/dissolution, solute adsorption, oxidation-reduction). Two classes and one laboratory per week.
