BIO 395-01 - Advanced Special Topic: Insect Field Ecology4 credits (Fall) Insects impact almost every ecosystem, due to their exceptional range in form and function, and their interactions with each other and other taxa. Insect ecology examines how insects interact with their environment, and how these interactions influence their resident biome. Throughout this course, students will learn how to identify common insects, and relate the morphological and behavioral adaptations of important families with their functional role in Iowa prairies.
