ANT 295-02 - Special Topic: African Archaeology4 credits (Spring) African Archaeology is an overview of human material culture from approximately 3 million years ago up through the 20th century on the African continent. By the end of this course, students will have engaged with: archaeological perspectives on being human, human-environment interactions, technological innovation and spread, the effects of globalism on African material culture, indigenous African states and chiefdom, and African as a continent with a robust and varied archaeological record.
