ANT 195-01 - Introductory Special Topic: Prehistoric Technologies2 credits (Fall) Archaeologists examine technology most effectively through direct experimentation. We will consider the nature of technology, learning, and skill in the context of several important prehistoric technologies: stone tools, pottery, fire, and others. There will be some theoretical reading and discussion of these technologies and experimental methodology, but the class will focus on hands-on experience.
