GRM 380 - A Critical Approach to the German Canon4 credits (Fall or Spring) Readings and Discussion in German. This course will select key works from the German literary canon in order to acquire an appreciation of German literary and intellectual history, but also to question the assumptions about language, nation, gender, religion, class, education, citizenship and power that constitute the formation of a literary canon.
