THD 120 - Introduction to Acting4 credits (Fall and Spring) This class helps students develop a strong foundation in a variety of theories and techniques of acting. Students explore dramatic analysis, character development, movement, voice, and improvisation while also starting to engage with non-text-based performances genres. Students form a supportive ensemble environment in which they learn to analyze and discuss their peers’ performances. The class culminates with students staging a final two-person scene that is open to the campus community.
