PHI 233 - History of Early Modern Philosophy4 credits (Fall or Spring) A study of the intellectual world of the early modern period. Readings may include works by Descartes, Leibniz, Spinoza, Locke, Berkeley, Hume, and Kant. Particular attention will be given to the complex relations between philosophy, science, religion, and politics during this period.
