POL 262 - African Politics4 credits (Fall) A study of typical Third World politics in an African context. A study of behavior of political elites constrained both by the international context and by limited resources. Topics include personalistic leadership, corruption, military coups, civil wars, mass-elite interactions, and peasant autonomy.
