SOC 295-02 - Special Topic: Class

4 credits (Spring)
In this class on “class,” we will engage with traditional and contemporary debates on the role  access to economic resources plays in the organization of capitalist society and influencing life chances at the level of the individual. We will also interrogate the ways in which class intersects with race, gender, and sexuality to reinforce difference. Finally, we will consider the mutability of class as a system that generates social and economic divisions.

Prerequisite: SOC 111 .
Instructor: Inglis
