ECN 378 - Seminar in Law and Economics4 credits This course considers the application of economic theory to the law and legal institutions, including property, contract, tort, and criminal law. We will investigate how legal rules influence economic incentives and the allocation of resources. Topics include liability and negligence assignment, uncertainty, allocation of property rights, bargaining, remedies, criminal deterrence, and the litigation process.
Prerequisite: ECN 280 . Effective Spring 2018 the prerequisite will be ECN 280 and concurrent registration in or completion of ECN 286 or MAT 336 . Instructor: Graham
