ECN 395-01 - Advanced Special Topic: Experimental and Behavioral Economics4 credits (Fall) This course is an introduction to the tradition and methods of behavioral economics, including the use of experiments. Behavioral economics applies insights from psychology to improve our understanding of the decision making process and generate better predictions about the behavior of economic actors. Behavioral economists have developed a variety of theoretical tools supported by laboratory experiments as well as empirical findings from large data sets, field experiments and even “natural” experiments.
