PHI 295-03 - Special Topic: Reading Arendt4 credits (Spring) Hannah Arendt is one of the most important theorists of the 20th century. Her work defies easy comprehension or categorization. In this class we will consider some of Arendt’s work including the texts that made her famous (or infamous, depending on one’s point of view). These include, The Origins of Totalitarianism, The Human Condition, and Eichman in Jerusalem. We will also study some of her most important essays and critiques of her work.
Prerequisite: Second-year standing. Instructor: Meehan
