ECN 295-01 - Special Topic: Comparative Economic Systems

4 credits (Spring)
A comparative analysis of political theories and the economic systems that derive from those theories. The course focuses on those ideological assumptions that result in capitalism, socialism, anarchism, and others, as the solution to economic problems. Theories under study include the neoclassical theory derived from classical work by Smith and Ricardo, the Marxian and Keynesian critiques of neoclassical economics, and contemporary expansions of neoclassical theory.

Prerequisite: ECN 111 .
