SOC 395-04 - Advanced Special Topic: Advanced Research: Robots4 credits
In this course, students will read key sources on the sociology of human/machine relations and pursue an advanced research project co-produced by themselves and Professor Erickson. Final products will be 20 page research papers, symposium-ready presentations, and possible co-authorship on short pieces or a chapter in Erickson’s Messy Humans. Students should prepare for the course by taking at least 3 200-level social science courses, a methods course, and have an existing interest in the culture of technology.
Prerequisite: Instructor consent required.
