REL 295-04 - Special Topci: Israel-Palestine in the Religious Imagination

2 credits (Spring)
The area known as Israel-Palestine is a site of ongoing turmoil-from systemic inequality to warfare and other forms of violence. The religious dimensions of these conflicts can be some of the most challenging to discuss. This seminar is grounded in the premise that understanding the land’s religious significance is nevertheless crucial for appreciating the motivations and concerns of different groups, past and present, who have been physically and spiritually connected to it.

Prerequisite: REL 101 REL 102 REL 103 REL 104 REL 105 , or second-year standing.
Note: Dates: February 4 to March 12. Half-semester deadlines apply.
Instructor: Marcus
