SPN 285 - Literature and Visual Cultures of the Spanish-Speaking World4 credits (Fall and Spring) This course will develop students’ critical and interpretive commentary and analysis via literature and visual culture from Latin America, US Latinx communities, and Spain. Additionally, this course will continue to develop students’ language skills both orally and in writing, as well as their cultural competency. Materials may include drama, cinema, comics, poetry, and narrative. Conducted in Spanish. SPN 205 may be taken concurrently.
Prerequisite: SPN 217 with grade, S, C, or better; or placement by department. Note: Plus-2 option available. Instructor: Staff
