PCS 295-01 - Special Topic: Introduction to Mediation1 credits (Fall) Disputes vary in shape, intensity and complexity and arise in multiple settings. The mediation process strives to resolve differences in ways that are effective, responsive to participant interests, and consistent with fundamental conceptions of fairness and dignity. This course, through lectures, discussions, and hands-on simulations, examines the theory and values that shape the mediation process and the strategies and skill-sets relevant to its execution.
