HIS 295-01 - Special Topic: Historical Landscapes of Grinnell4 credits (Spring) This course examines the history of the relationship between Grinnell College and the town of Grinnell. Students will choose a building, a town block, or a larger segment of the Grinnell landscape and write a histmy of that piece of Grinnell. Students will draw on oral histories, letters, diaries, maps, and photographs, to understand what their selected slice of Grinnell reflects about the historic relationship between the college and the town.
