FMS 395-01 - Advanced Special Topic: Women of Avant-Garde Film and Media

This is an advanced hands-on production course that explores avant-garde moving image practice in tandem with the study of film and media made by women. Grounded in considerable reading and viewing, students will learn and master innovative production techniques in16mm film, UHD video, and alternative photographic processes, creating a series of short creative projects. Class time will be used for hands-on workshops, lectures, discussions, critiques, screenings, and open time for working on production assignments.
