THD 330 - Critical Approaches in Performance Design

4 credits (Fall)

An in-depth exploration of designing for the stage, with the specific area of design (scenery, lighting, costumes) announced each time the course is offered. Emphasis is on script or dance ”text” analysis and the evolution of design from first reading to first performance. May be repeated once for credit when topic changes. Prerequisite: THD 230 or THD 231, with grade S, C, or better.
