STA 340 - Bayesian Statistics4 credits (Fall) This course explores the Bayesian approach to statistical analysis, and its differences and similarities compared to classical methods. Students will learn to conduct Bayesian analysises of data from multiple disciplines, by coding basic and multi-level models in software such as R Stan, or JAGS.
Prerequisite: STA 309 , STA 310 , MAT 335 , or STA 335 , with grade S, C, or better. Note: Not offered every year. Instructor: Jonkman
