THD 350-01 - Critical Approaches to Theatre Methods4 credits (Fall) Cross-listed as: GLS 350-01 . Dramaturgs are storytellers! A skilled dramaturg is essential in any collaborative room, be it theatre, dance, tech, or business, and their tasks change with every project. They collaborate, they research, they facilitate, they edit, they teach, they respond, they question, all while moving nimbly across departments and disciplines. In this interdisciplinary course, we will focus on dramaturgy as an art in its own right, and practice the producing skills necessary to work across the field (and beyond!). Coursework will include multiple applied projects as part of the TDPS mainstage season, as well as creative and scholarly research.
Prerequisite: Any 200-level THD course except THD 200 or THD 201 , with grade S, C, or better. Instructor: K. Miller
