ENG 120-04 - Literary Analysis4 credits (Fall) “Magnitude and Form.” A literary work in its entirety may consist of a few words or fill a multi-volume book. To gain skill in close reading and survey a range of critical perspectives used to interpret literature, we will start small and gradually into texts of greater and greater length. Our readings will include poetry in traditional and experimental forms, short stories including flash fiction, Shakespeare’s “The Tempest,” and two modern novels.
Prerequisite: None. Instructor: Smith
