THD 195-01 - Introductory Special Topic: Introduction to Theatre

This course introduces students to the art and practice of theatre and its important components and contributors, emphasizing collaboration, live performance, and the cultural importance of the performing arts, particularly as an agent of social change. Through active learning projects, discussion, and lecture students will have the opportunity to learn about and practice the different aspects of production, including acting, directing, design, and dramaturgy.
