SOC 395-01 - Advanced Special Topic: Advanced Theory: Environment and Society - Treadmills and Rifts : Capitalism and Environment4 credits (Spring) This seminar course focuses on theory central to understanding the relationships between society and environment. Focus will rotate from year to year. Some areas of focus might include: theories of sexuality, gender, race and environment, risk society, metabolic rift, treadmill of production, Indigenous environmental theories.
Prerequisite: SOC 111 with grade S, C, or better. Prerequisite or co-requisite: SOC 285 , with grade S, C, or better when used as a prerequisite. Instructor: Bacon
