POL 295-01 - Special Topic: Political Psychology4 credits (Spring) This course considers the process of political attitude formation through socialization and genetics, the effect of individual characteristics on political attitudes and behaviors, the ways in which individuals process political information, and how group membership shapes intergroup relations, including discussions of racial bias, stereotypes, and group conflict. This course focuses primarily on the political psychology of Americans, and works to help students understand the research process, including question formation, quantitative analysis, and interpretation.
Prerequisite: POL 101 with grade S, C, or better. Instructor: Nava
