BIO 295-01 - Special Topic: People in Biology2 credits (Fall) Exploration of the social context for work in the life sciences. What are the social, political, and economic forces that influence work in the life sciences? What contributes to the broad community of life scientists? Specifically, who participates, what do they do, how are they trained and funded, what problems and questions are prioritized, and how do they communicate their work? Class will be discussion based and feature interactions with alumni.
Prerequisite: BIO 150 with grade S, C, or better and third year status. Instructor: Gregg-Jolly
