THD 295-01 - Special Topic: Sound Design for Performance

We live in a world of constant sound and among wizards who have mastered the use of these sounds to impact and influence audiences. In this course, students will study the audio techniques these artists use and apply them to their own audio design projects across a diversity of performance media. Students will learn and engage with both professional and DIY technology to create, record, edit, compose, and present sound designs in live performance projects.

Prerequisite: THD 130, THD 230, THD 231, THD 232, ART 155, or ART 246; with grade S, C, or better.
