SOC 295-02 - Special Topic: Data Analysis for the Social Sciences4 credits (Fall) This course will introduce students to the analysis and interpretation of quantitative data in the social sciences. Throughout the course, students will critically read and assess various quantitative and mixed-method approach papers in the social sciences and the use of statistics in policy debates. Simultaneously, students will also learn to use the computer program, R, to analyze and interpret data using similar methods.
Prerequisite: SOC 291 and SST 115 with grades, S, C, or better. Instructor: Francisco
