MUS 295-01 - Special Topic: Introduction to Audio Production2 credits (Fall) This course introduces students to technical, social, and philosophical practices and techniques of audio production. Students will work with a variety of audio hardware and software to create recordings both individually and with groups. Topics include Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) operation, microphone techniques and signal processing. In addition to creating music, students will listen to and analyze recordings, and become acquainted with important producers, studios, and communities in the history of audio and music production.
Prerequisite: MUS 100 with grade S, C, or better. Note: Dates: September 2 to October 16. Half-semester deadlines apply. Instructor: Jarvis
