PHE 295-01 - Special Topic: Team Development in Track and Field

2 credits (Fall)

Students will study the ideas and philosophies of prominent track and field coaches and athletes and note how they have/not influenced our training.  We will also examine the extent to which they have embraced the duality of track and field as an individual pursuit within the context of a team sport, and to what degree that exists at the highest level of the sport and in track culture around the world.  The class will travel to Amsterdam and Germany during fall break.
