SOC 295 - Arts, Crafts, & Activism

Cross-listed as: SOC This course uses the sociological imagination and developed theories to investigate constructions of “art” versus “craft” by engaging in hands-on making through an activist lens. We investigate the intersections of social class, gender, race, colonialism, critique “the museum,” and take inspiration from underground resistance movements.
