ANT 295-02 - Special Topic: Living with Animals4 credits (Spring) Human lives are fully and completely entangled with those of other animals. This course explores what it means to study these relationships anthropologically. How do we understand animals as agents, animals as food, animals as integral to the health of our world and our bodies through our interconnected lives and landscapes? How do we understand race, colonialism, feminism, inequality, justice, pandemics, conservation, and even our own backyards differently if we decenter humans as the only agents in our worlds?
Prerequisite: ANT 104 with grade S, C, or better. Instructor: de Wet
