EDU 295-01 - Special Topic: Education and the Future of Work.2 credits (Spring) In this course students develop practical, yet critical knowledge for navigating the “hidden curriculum” of future existing workplaces and the forms of work that we might like to create. We will examine features of how national education systems prepare for workforces. A core assignment is interviewing alumni or people from the Grinnell community about their pathways to different jobs, which will inform students’ public-facing writing about issues at the intersection of education and work.
Prerequisite: ANT 104 , EDU 101 , GWS 111 , HIS 100 , POL 101 , or SOC 111 ; with grade S, C, or better. Instructor: Larson
