BIO 395-01 - Advanced Special Topic: Theoretical Ecology and Modeling with Lab3 credits (Spring) Study of ecological theory and of conceptual and mathematical approaches to modeling in ecology. The course will broadly survey topics in ecology such as evolutionary game theory, epidemiology, population and community dynamics, and more. Primary literature readings will explore common modelling approaches in ecology, while labs will focus on coding, analyzing, and simulating models using the R programming language. Three lectures and one laboratory per week.
Prerequisite: BIO 251 and BIO 252 with grades, S, C, or better. Instructor: Sutton
