MAT 314-01 - Advanced Topics in Applied Mathematics

Partial Differential Equations. This is a broad, first course in partial differential equations (PDEs) with an emphasis on first and second-order linear equations, Fourier series and transforms. Using analytical, qualitative, and numerical techniques, we will study the Laplace, heat, and wave equations, as well as their applications. MATLAB and/or Python will be used where applicable.

Prerequisite: MAT 220 with grade S, C, or better.
Note: Plus-2 option available.
