MUS 214 - Topics in Sonic Creativity4 credits (Fall or Spring) Humans create with sound in myriad ways to perform identity through organizations of noise, engage with politics and social justice, and spur the imagination. This class introduces students to sonic practices that center creativity in multiple ways, paying close attention to environment and atmosphere. Possible topics include Making Instruments from Trash; Communal Composition; Sound Design. In each case, students ethically situate creativity in a growing global community.
