FMS 395-02 - Advanced Special Topic: Experimental Filmmaking

4 credits (Spring)

This is an advanced hands-on production course that explores experimental moving image practices. Grounded in considerable reading and viewing, students will learn and master innovative production techniques in 16mm film, UHD video, and alternative photographic processes, creating a series of short creative projects. Class time will be used for hands-on workshops, lectures, discussions, critiques, screenings, and open time for working on production assignments. Experimentation and creative voice are stressed over technical skills.

Prerequisite: Second-year standing.
