FMS 395 - Film Theory and Criticism - FA254 credits Cross-listed as: Yes This advanced course will introduce students to film theory through the analysis of film form, aesthetics, and style. It will aim to provide students with an understanding of film’s unique language by teaching them how to recognize, describe, and analyze formal choices and techniques. Students will be introduced to major arguments within the history of film theory and will learn how films and film theories involve an interaction with audiences and larger social structures.
