THD 353-01 - Critical Approaches to Theatre Perspectives

Cross-listed as: GLS 353-01. The Art of Transformation. This interdisciplinary course is designed as an experimental laboratory to enable students to explore the creative intersections between performance, art, music, lighting, dance, and film. Drawing on their personal areas of interest and expertise, students will stage their own innovate productions in response to a series of prompts. Thematic topics include nature, food, ritual, and protest. Every student completes the same assignments, but they will be encouraged to focus on developing and refining their own unique artistic voice.

Prerequisite: Any 200-level THD, ART, FMS, or MUS course with grade S, C, or better, with the exception of THD 200, THD 201, MUS 220, or MUS 221.
