SOC 295-01 - Special Topic: Economic Sociology4 credits (Fall) In advanced capitalist societies like the United States, the economy and society are highly intertwined. This means that sociology makes crucial contributions to our understanding of how markets and processes of exchange fit within a broader world of social relationships between people divided by nation, race, class and gender. Through this course, we will learn from each other through facilitated discussion, reflection papers, an exam and a final reserch paper.
Prerequisite: SOC 111 . Instructor: Thompson
